Contemporary Austin’s Teen Council helps advise the museum on programming. Contemporary Austin

If you have a teen that loves art, loves to talk art, loves to make art, Contemporary Austin museum is looking for them. It is accepting applications for the Teen Council Arts Leadership Program for next school year. Applications are due by May 26.

The Teen Council is a paid position for 10 to 12 high school students. It advises Contemporary Austin as well as acts as ambassadors for the Contemporary Austin’s program. The council also uses the museum’s social media channels, creates a public art project and produces teen events at the museums sites. The teens involved learn more about how museums work and being in a creative career.

You don’t have to be an artist to apply. You just have to be creative and a leader.

The council meets 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Laguna Gloria.
