Events

Domain Northside Kids. Come to the lawn at the Domain Northside for activities for kids 18 months to 6 years old. Free. 10 a.m.-noon March 1.

Explore UT. Enjoy different events throughout the University of Texas Campus, including fossil identifying, making clouds in a bottle, architecture out of spaghetti, playing with Shakespeare, popsicle stick catapults, balloon rocket racers, testing paper airplanes, fun with optics, mock law school class, computer science roadshow, learn Danish in 40 minutes, and more. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 4. 

This is Happening Without Your Permission. Women’s History Month event with Riot Grrrl. Workshops on podcasting, zine-making, and songwriting workshop from Girls Rock Austin. Free. Noon-5 p.m. March 4, Windsor Park Branch of the Austin Public Library.

It’s My Park Day. Volunteer as a family to clean up a park. March 4.

ABC Kite Festival. Fly a kite as well as make one. New this year, kids zone with face painting, kite making, hair braiding and more sponsored by St. David’s Children’s Hospital and MossFest Children’s Concert from Texas Mutual with bands like Hey Lolly and Trout Fishing in America. Free. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 5. (Rain date March 12). Zilker Park. Parking is available at the state garage at 1604 Colorado St., and at the Burger Activity Center, 3200 Jones Road. Shuttles will bring you to the park for $5 for people 12 and older. 

Bridging Cultures Storytime: Little Red Riding Hood tales from Asia. With a treasure hunt and story time. 10 a.m. March 11. Asian American Resource Center, 8401 Cameron Road.
