This first school vacation day can be rough. We’re just getting in the groove of school; now we get three days of togetherness.

Here are some of the things happening around Austin this long weekend:

FRIDAY

Lego Lab. Come play. 4 p.m. Friday, North Village Branch of the Austin Public Library

Barnes & Noble Story time. “Ellie,” 7 p.m. Friday, Barnes & Noble Round Rock.

FRIDAY-MONDAY

FRIDAY-SATURDAY

Lego KidsFest Texas. Build all kinds of things and meet Master Builders Friday-Sunday. 4-8:30 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. $22.50 adults, $19.50 kids and seniors. Austin Aztex Youth Sports Appreciation Night. For the last Aztex home game of the regular season, any kid who is wearing their sports team jersey gets in free. The game is 7:30 p.m. Saturday.  Reserve in advance at www.austinaztex.com/bigred.  Ticket prices are available at $15-$25 for adults, $10-$20 for children 12 and under along with military and students, children under the age of three are free, and VIP seating is $70 per ticket. The team plays at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex, 10211 W. Parmer Lane. You can ride CapMetro Rail to the Lakeline station  and take a shuttle to the game for free.

Art in Nature for Kids. In this class, young artists will look at the Wildflower Center for inspiration as well as self-portraits from Leonardo da Vinci and Frida Kahlo. $35. 10 a.m. ages 6-8, 1 p.m. ages 9-11, Saturday. $35. Wildflower Center, 4801 LaCrosse Ave. wildflower.org.
