Driving Ava to middle school for the first time.
Today Ben started high school and Ava started middle school. Yes, it really is happening. They are teenagers.
For the first time in nine years I did not turn right at Davis Lane to head to the elementary school. It is really weird. And it was really weird for Ava when I didn’t walk her into class for the first time in her school career. Panic set in until she saw a friend.
So we start a new chapter today. I am currently taking deep breaths, and I am sure my kids are, too.
